Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Orthopedic Surgeon with fellowship training in hand and upper extremity surgery to join our dynamic medical team. The Orthopedic Surgeon will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and performing surgeries to address musculoskeletal injuries, diseases, and their associated conditions. While it is an association with The McGinley Clinic, the position will be an independent practice. Pay will be directly and immediately tied to earnings. There is a mandatory research and development component that is compensated separately. Additional opportunities included the ability to purchase share ownership in the local ambulatory surgical center. This role requires a patient-centered approach and a commitment to delivering exceptional surgical care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and treat musculoskeletal conditions involving bones, joints, ligaments, tendons, and muscles.
- Perform surgeries to repair fractures, correct deformities, replace joints, and treat sports-related injuries.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physical therapists, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals, to create comprehensive treatment plans.
- Conduct pre-operative and post-operative consultations and follow-up care to safeguard patient recovery.
- Prescribe and manage non-surgical treatments, such as physical therapy, medications, and rehabilitation plans.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements and technologies in orthopedic surgery and incorporate them into practice.
- Participate in continuing education and clinical trials when applicable.
- Participate in research collaboration with McGinley Orthopedics Inc., a medical device company.
- Travel to outreach locations to consult with patients.
- Ensure compliance with medical protocols, hospital policies, and healthcare regulations.
- Obtain admitting privileges at a local community hospital.
- Obtain surgical privileges at the local surgical center.
Requirements
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
- Completion of an accredited residency program in Orthopedic Surgery.
- Fellowship training in hand and upper extremity surgery.
- Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Orthopedic Surgery.
- Valid medical license to practice in Wyoming, USA.
- Experience as an Orthopedic Surgeon preferred, recent graduates and upcoming graduates with
excellent training will be considered. - Strong technical skills in surgical procedures related to trauma, sports medicine, and joint
replacements. - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient care.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high-stress situations.
