Description
Become part of a physician led 650+ provider multispecialty group with a multi-disciplinary team approach to patient care. Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center, a Level II Trauma Center, is seeking PRN Orthopedic Trauma Surgeons (MD/DO) to supplement our Ortho Trauma department staffing. We have 4 Ortho Trauma trained specialists and 6 APPs who provide Ortho Trauma services within the hospital and clinic. We are looking to expand our PRN team for weekday nights ED call coverage from 5p to 7a and a few weekends a year. We are open to traveling military and moonlighters with ortho trauma skills and experience. The PA team consists of 6 providers working 3-4 shifts per week. APPs rotate through 5, 1 month-long rotations, that cover clinic, inpatient OR and weekend duties. Each APP will rotate through weekends every 5th month. The call schedule is weeknight call and/or weekends. Trauma Service Call including 6 rotating APPs.
Support: 24/7 Anesthesia, Neurosurgery, Orthopedics, Interventional Radiology (in-house), Vascular & Cardiothoracic Surgery, fellowship trained Intensivists, Cardiologists, Neurologists, Wound & Hyperbaric, ED, ICU, CVICU, NICU, Hospitalist, Diabetes, Inpatient Pain, Palliative Care and more.
Requirements:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree.
- Successful completion of an ACGME accredited orthopedic residency program.
- Board certification through the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery (ABOS) or the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopedic Surgery (AOBOS) or obtain such certification within 3 years of employment.
- Orthopedic Trauma Fellowship preferred with keen ability to treat and manage complex orthopedic pelvic and acetabular fractures in addition to general acute orthopedic conditions.
- Member in good standing of the Orthopedic Trauma Association.
- Obtain Idaho medical licensure and granting of privileges at SARMC and other health system affiliated hospitals as needed, valid controlled substance registration with Board of Pharmacy and DEA.
