BayCare Clinic values the independent practice of medicine, and believes that independent practice is the physician model which provides the patient with the highest quality of care. We believe it is the best model because independent practitioners have fewer limitations on what therapies they can offer to their patients. This allows patients to have the widest range of options.
The BayCare Clinic Philosophy is to provide an environment for specialty physicians to provide excellence in patient care, while promoting a rewarding practice.
Company History
May 1996 – Management Services Organization (Physician's Resource Network "PRN") is formed, and the physicians create a steering committee.
March 1998 – PRN changes its name to BayCare Health Systems, LLC.
October 1999 – BayCare Clinic and Aurora Medical Group agree to build new tertiary care hospital.
September 2001 – An open house welcomes 18,000 visitors to the newly-completed facility, Aurora BayCare Medical Center. The hospital opens its doors for business on Monday, September 25, 2001 at 6pm.
November 2002 – Aurora BayCare Health Center (West Campus) opens for business, and the Green Bay Eye Clinic (Ophthalmology Department of BayCare Clinic) moved from Monroe location into the West Campus on Mason Street.
November 2005 – Two Rivers Physician Office Building opens.
November 2007 – Aurora BayCare Medical Center becomes a teaching hospital for the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health.
June 2008 – Aurora BayCare Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Center opens on main hospital campus.
December 2010 – BayCare Clinic hits 100% of eligible provider participation in the federal Physician Quality Reporting Initiative.
August 2013 – Orthopedic Associates of Manitowoc merges with BayCare Clinic.
November 2016 – BayCare Clinic opens new Corporate Headquarters, located at 1035 Kepler Drive, Green Bay.
