Midlands Orthopaedics & Neurosurgery is a robust and innovative private practice physician group offering orthopaedic and neurosurgical services in the Midlands region of South Carolina.

Capitalizing on nearly a century of combined experience, we are committed to improving overall musculoskeletal and neurological health and quality of life for our patients in a private practice setting. 20 physicians include 4 neurosurgeons, 12 sub-specialty trained orthopaedic surgeons, 1 family practice sports medicine physician, 2 pain management physicians and 1 physiatrist. Five practice locations are supplemented by ancillary services that include MRI, DXA, DME, Physical Therapy, EMG/NCS studies, After-Hours Walk-in Clinics and an Ambulatory Surgery Center with 4 OR suites.

Midlands Orthopaedics Surgery Center was the first in SC to perform same day, outpatient joint replacement surgery. We are now focused on developing our spine program and continually enhancing the outpatient experience for all sub-specialties.

Strong collegiality among physician owners combined with an entrepreneurial and fiercely independent spirit provides rich practice opportunities. Physicians are provided tremendous flexibility in crafting their practices to leverage their specific interests and goals. Ortho surgeons cover non-trauma ER call.

Centrally located in the capital city of South Carolina, we serve a large number of state and local government employees as well as numerous strong private employers drawing from a referral area of approximately 500,000 people. Mild winters and warm summers allow residents to enjoy many outdoor recreational activities year-round. A large lake and multiple rivers converge in Columbia, making watersports a leading activity in the area.
