Miguel J. Saldaña, M.D. Pa is a sole ownership company totally dedicated to treating patients for injuries to the hand, wrists, and upper extremities when they require the services of a hand surgery specialist.

Company History

Miguel J. Saldaña, M.D. PA was born in Laredo, Texas. He attended Loyola University in Chicago for three years and was accepted to the Loyola Medical School in Chicago in 1964. He made a twenty-three year career of the Navy after being drafted in 1969. He completed his internship at Kaiser Foundation Hospital in San Francisco, and his general surgery at Oakland Naval Hospital. He remained in San Francisco for his hand fellowship in 1983 under the guidance of Dr. John Neibauer, a known pioneer in artificial joint replacement in the hand. The last ten years of his naval career were spent as the Director of the Hand Service for Portmouth Naval Hospital Orthopedics Department. Dr. Saldaña is board certified in general surgery and hand surgery. He has made numerous presentations at National and Inernational meetings and has published several articles in reference to hand surgery. His academic interest is in tendon surgery and in rehabilitation of the hand. Dr. Saldaña has practiced in San Antonio since 1991. On April 2007 he started a practice on his own known as Miguel J. Saldaña, M.S. PA. He has 2 very successful clinics in the San Antonio area.
Dr. Saldaña has one office manager and 7 other employees. Some of the companies who send their injured employees to his care are Toyota, San Antonio Shoes, HEB Markets, Las Michocana Markets, to name a few.

Benefits

Generally the immediate benefit is to become a part of an already very successful hand surgery specialist practice. The overwhelming number of patients is one of the reasons Dr. Saldaña is looking for another doctor to join him.
