ORA Orthopedics is a 26-physician single specialty orthopedic practice located in the Quad Cities (border of Illinois and Iowa). Our physicians are fellowship and sub-specialty trained in Sports Medicine, Spine, Upper Extremity and Hand, Adult Reconstruction, Pediatrics, and Trauma.
ORA Orthopedics is the largest, most comprehensive orthopedic practice in the Quad Cities. The practice has a long-standing reputation of excellence in the community. We are affiliated with two large health systems, each having a level II trauma center. Orthopedic call is currently 1:9. Our practice offers onsite MRI, physical therapy, and ASCs. The Quad Cities has a population of approximately 500,000 and overlooks the Mississippi. It is located only 2 ½ hours from Chicago and Madison. It offers a high quality of life, a low cost of living, and excellent schools.
ORA physicians proudly serve as the team physicians for local sports teams and several area colleges and high schools, including: Quad City Mallards, Quad Cities River Bandits, St. Ambrose University, Augustana College, Assumption High School, and a number of area high schools.
Company History
ORA Orthopedics is celebrating 49 years of orthopedic excellence in the Quad Cities. The practice is a result of a 1997 merger of Orthopedic Surgery Associates (OSA), founded in 1963 by William Whitmore, M.D. and Moline Orthopedics, founded in 1963 by Harold Jersild, M.D and Jerald Laros.
Since then, the practice has grown to 26 physicians and 15 mid-level providers. ORA is established a strong reputation of providing excellence in orthopedic care to the Quad Cities’ community.
The practice has three main clinic locations in Bettendorf, Davenport, and Moline and four satellite clinic locations serving Dewitt, Durant, Silvis and Geneseo. We provide a full continuum of orthopedic services, including MRI, ASC, Physical Therapy, DME and pharmacy.
